There are endless ways of interpreting the reality. And, what is reality and what is not? We are not sure about that, and should question ourselves. The reality can be seen using different perspectives. And then of course, at the end, the painting itself becomes part of that same reality. It will in turn be seen and understood by others, time and again in a very personal and specific manner.
Each technique has its own image language. The artist makes choices to get the desired result. However, ambiguity will always remain, as people perceive, understand and value a painting in different ways. That ambiguity is essential and important. A painting can be seen as a metaphor, as an attempt to visualize how we make sense of what we see and perceive.
